Last week, I was kicking it in Briones taking a hike when I passed a brochere box. Not suprisingly, there is a website for the regions parks. Check it out if looking for any hiking, picnic or other outdoor activities. They have great maps for downloading too, complete with topography. You can even sign up online for hikes in the publicly closed Vasco area.
